Baby Acne, Baby Eczema, Baby Irritated Skin Cure

When Olivia was born she had beautiful perfectly soft newborn skin. About a month ago all that changed when she started to get baby acne and cradle cap and dry irritated patches of skin on her face, particularly on her cheeks, chin, neck, eyebrows, and forehead and to make matters worse it started to spread down her neck to her shoulders and behind her ears.

It seemed particularly bad if it got wet or damp for instance while she was being fed or dribbling and also while she slept or had tummy time she would rub her face for minutes on end in anything she could get into! It drove me crazy looking at it and it appeared to make her miserable as well.

We spoke to our Pedeatrician and she said that it didn't look like Eczema and there were a few baby acne present but she said it was most likely her cradle cap irritation spreading to her face etc and that we should leave it alone or try some coconut oil etc.... I tried a few different things including breast milk and everything seemed to either irritate it further or make no change!

So off I went on the Internet to search high and low for a solution! I came across the simplest and 100% effective treatment I had yet to find and one I wished I had found weeks earlier! Here it is in its simplicity and the two products that worked together to return our angel's beautiful skin to its newborn calm, flawless softness!

Arm and Hammer Baking Soda and Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream! Take about a tsp of baking soda and mix it together with enough water to form a paste. Spread it over baby's irritated skin, taking extra care to avoid baby's eyes, nose and mouth. You want to be prepared to wash it off quickly, and you only need to leave it on for a few seconds, thirty max. Baby may or may not cry alot because it may sting baby's sensitive skin. Immediately after rinsing the paste off with cool water, pat the skin dry with a soft towel and apply the cream liberally onto the affected area and anywhere else you want to moisturize.

You only need to do this procedure twice a week and may only even need to do it once. Continue to apply the cream once or twice during the day and night. You should begin to see results the very next day! I am super relieved to have found this!

So once you have tried it and see results of your own, don't forget to let me know and pay it forward by sharing this information with your friends and family! It doesn't have to be Eczema either! I have a feeling it may work for teenage/adult acne as well! Going to experiment on my step daughter and will let y'all know!

Fisher-Price Rainforest Friends Deluxe Cradle 'N Swing Review

Hey all, we're here today to review a great lifesaving product! yes, I said lifesaving! At least it would seem so when baby is screaming and you need your hands, that's for sure! We originally had a similar product on our registry list on Amazon.com however our beloved friends Annmarie and Madison decided to get us this instead and I must say we sure are glad they did! Here's why!...

From the time we brought Olivia home from the NICU she has practically lived in this thing! Swaddled as a baby, it was the most comfortable place outside of mom's arms! Well, except for daddy's of course! Speaking of..It took daddy about 30 mins or so to put together and that was only because daddy likes to take his time! It was very easy to assemble and also to move around the house, which we have moved it. Generally speaking it does take up a good amount of space and its not suitable for toting with you to the bathroom for a shower while baby rocks. We keep ours in the family room next to the couch where we spend most of our time.

It has several settings. It can swing from side to side or back and forth. And there are several speed settings for how fast you or baby want it to go. It also has a volume setting and plays about 8 songs and also has soothing white noise and nature sounds. The seat itself is very comfortable and is also deep which is great because you don't want baby toppling out. We put a blanket down on it before baby because she is still too small for the seat belts and we preferred not to use them, however we advise you to use them as directed and we will be using them from here on as she is bigger and starting to move about a bit more. There is also a detachable rattle toy that she loves.

Her favorite part hands down is looking up at the rotating animals and reflective mirror above her! She practically sits in there and googoo gagas at them for half and hour or more, great for when I need a break or have dinner to make! The music and rotating animals are on some sort of timer so they go off after a while, usually she's asleep by then!

All in all this product gets a big thumbs up from us! We highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a swing for their little one!

OLIVIA RENEE

Hello again! It's been several months since our last post and my precious girl is here. Olivia Renee Kizer was born on the 19th of April 2014 at 6:41 am. She weighed 8lbs 9.5oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. Had a rough start and spent a week in the NICU due to complications...

She is now 2 1/2 months old and is quite the talker! Keeping us all on our toes and is generally happy and growing well!

So enough about us for now, we have a ton of things to catch up on and most of them are reviews of all the products that we think you need to know about! So follow along as we explore the great big world and the trials and errors and gems we find along the way! Peace!

Evenflo Feeding Giveaway: Breastfeeding Essentials Collection

Hello everyone and welcome to Liv Laughs and Loves. I have so much to write and review that we figure we will start with our latest product that we have actually won. I entered this giveaway because my friend Annmarie and her daughter Madison, of the blog Growing Up Madison, recommended we enter. Alas we won! Yay for us! We originally had the Avent Breast Pump on our registry list however once we won this we took it off. I'm glad we entered because not only was their rep on Facebook the friendliest most helpful person everrr, but our prize arrived one week later and in a great big box. We actually got a lot more than we thought, inside was not only the double electric breast pump, but one manual pump (didn't expect that :-), four boxes of breast pads which came up to 160 pads plus their were two extra sets in each pump box and eight milk storage bottles! 

All in all I cannot wait to start using the pumps when Olivia Renee gets here. Tried breast feeding with Nia and Haley way back in the day when they were babies but it just didn't work for me and I really want to make a great effort to do so now and this product looks like its going to be just the ticket. I will definitely do a follow up review once we actually use the pads and the pumps. In the meantime...
